The OTSC team entered the Mike Sirimanne Memorial Water Polo Championship hosted by Kingross Swimming and Life Saving Club on 15th November 2009. Seven teams took part in the men’s tournament including the heavily favoured RCUASC and Navy Teams. The OTSC team beat Otter Aquatic Club 5-1 in the preliminaries and went on to beat the favoured RCUASC team 3-2 in a hard fought semi final. The OTSC team faced the Sri Lanka Army in the finals and beat them decisively returning a score of 6 -1 and won the Mike Sirimanne Memorial Trophy for the first time since its inception in 1997.

November 2009 at the Club House.
