Colombo, members of the Board of Governors, the secretaries & the
treasurers of the OBA & PTA were also present.
The Board of
Governors were present and the Bishop of Colombo Rt Rev Duleep De
Chickera in his speech has introduced the new Warden as Rev. John
and has gone on to explain that the Thomian boys are quite good at
giving nick names and therefore he will avoid using the surname of
our new warden to introduce!

which he knew two while serving and the third he got to know only
after leaving College.
The new Warden was
introduced as an Educationist, Mathematician and a Scientist and his
wife as an Educationist. The Bishop has said that this particular
application to fill the post of Warden has reached at 4pm on the day
of short listing (which was to happen at 5pm) and has praised God
and given prominence to God in his speech.
He has also
appreciated and thanked Sub Warden Harshana Perera for undertaking
to run the school until a new warden is appointed and the great
effort he put in to keep things going. The Bishop has said that from
Theological college when he was put to S Thomas College his bishop
at that time has said that it will like ice skating in still ice and
that role Mr. Harshana played reminded him of this.
All rounder
Cricket Captain and Head Prefect Nirushan has spoken on Thomian Grit
and reminded the Rev from Eton that the boys at Eton will know One
language while the Thomians will know Three languages!
